The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is an annual motorcycle rally that takes place in Sturgis, South Dakota, United States.
The rally has been held in Sturgis since 1938 and is the oldest and one of the largest motorcycle gatherings in the world. It goes on for an entire week and attracts hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts each year from all over the world.
The rally consists of live music, stunt shows, races, and various motorcycle–related activities. It is also a great place to socialize – over 500,000 people attend the rally every year.
One of the most popular attractions of the rally is the Parade of Flags, which is held annually on the second Saturday of the rally. The Parade of Flags involves hundreds of riders from all different countries in the world. As the riders go down the main street of Sturgis, they each carry their national flag, and the whole show is set to music.
Other popular rally features include the numerous vendors selling souvenirs and merchandise, rides through the beautiful Black Hills, professional stunt shows, and the typically more relaxed atmosphere.
